Kalyani Majumdar is an author, feature writer, photo-essayist, historian and Yoga practitioner. She has written essays and features on architecture, art, culture and urban issues for various magazines such as the Indian edition of Domus, Domus Italy, India Today, Liquid, Marwar, Free Press Journal and online platforms on education. She holds a Master’s Degree in Conservation and Heritage Management and is a nature enthusiast. She has worked on development projects in the High Himalayan regions to create awareness through setting up rural Interpretation centres on cultural and natural heritage of the region. She has authored a book for GVK and CSIA Mumbai (Chhatrapati Shivaji International Airport), titled The Peepal, The Girl and The City. This book is very different from most corporate books as I have used my storytelling skills to talk about the real time issues pertaining to climate change and urban sprawls.
